Wanted: Blizzard Photos

Sheldon Greaves

When the recent blizzard was on the verge of striking Rhode Island, Sheldon Greaves checked in and agreed to make some photographs. One photo he sent shows Denise by their snow-covered car. The most interesting photograph is the one shown here. Sheldon reports that the snow near the center is very shallow. The much deeper, curved drift to the side was caused by the wind whipping around the corner of the house.

Readers who collected photographs of unusual snow formations and events during the New England blizzard are requested to send their best JPEGs to the editor for consideration for use in Gallery. Please include a brief description of the photograph (date, place and so forth) and the name of the photographer.
