Feature

While on vacation, I bought a very interesting book --- Bark Canoes: The Art and Obsession of Tappan Adney by John Jennings (ISBN 1-55297-733-1). This book contains photographs and descriptions of the extensive collection of bark canoes that were made by Edwin Tappan Adney --- artist / correspondent / anthropologist. This makes an excellent companion to Adney and Chappelle's book --- The Bark Canoes and Skin Boats of North America that I mentioned in the 19 April '02 Wanderings.
