FrogWatch 2008: Record the Ribbit
The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) has organized a unique project to survey the presence of frogs around the US. Record the Ribbit will take place on 3 May 2008. The project web site states that the purpose of FrogWatch 2008 is "to raise awareness about frogs and toads." The scientific benefit of the project is that participants can enter their findings on the FrogWatch web site.
According to the NWF web site, "Record the Ribbit is a special event of Nature Quest SM FrogWatch USA™, National Wildlife Federation's popular citizen-science amphibian monitoring program."
Are you reading this after 3 May? Then consider becoming involved in the regular FrogWatch project here. This is an opportunity to make a serious contribution to science in only 20 minutes or so per week.
