Southern California FSEA Rocket Competition

Tim Dolan sends notice about an organization in Southern California that encourages science in the schools.

The annual Southern California FSEA Rocket Competition will take place Saturday, May 3, 2008, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Boeing Company at 5301 Bolsa Avenue in Huntington Beach. Sheryl France-Moran, the FSEA Operations Coordinator, requests that attendees bring "an empty 2 ltr. soda bottle that will be converted into a rocket. You might also want to bring a beach chair, snacks and sun screen, but that's up to you." You can find out much more here.

FSEA is Future Scientists & Engineers of America. The FSEA Rocket Competition is an activity of the Discovery Science Center, a nonprofit organization "dedicated to educating young minds, assisting teachers and increasing public understanding of science, math and technology through interactive exhibits and programs.
