Amateur Scientist Web Sites
The web has many amateur science sites, and the Society for Amateur Scientists is compiling a list of members and friends with such sites. Please send your site URL and a brief description here.
Here are two examples of amateur scientist web sites.
Harlan Brothers was recently profiled in an editorial in The Citizen Scientist. After studying music composition in college, Harlan took a mail-order electronics course that inspired him to begin inventing. Years later, he returned to school to study math after publishing original research on e, a fundamental constant of nature. Harlan's findings were recently published in The Citizen Scientist in the article "Rubbing Shoulders with Newton: An Improbable Story" (02 March 2007).
You can learn more about Harlan's patents and research at his web site, harlan@brotherstechnology.com
Mike Stahl is a citizen naturalist with a web site he calls "The Respectful Empiricist." You can visit his site at www.respectfulempiricist.com
