The Homopolar Motor is alive and well!

The Maxwell Society has a video clip of a simple Homopolar Motor.

Not all batteries will work in this application as the magnets are required to be able to stick to the positive and negative. Duracells or Energizers batteries are OK. Also note that the battery life in this application will not be too great.
