Alan Dove Begins New Web Site

Dr. Alan Dove of the Society for Amateur Scientists has launched a web site and associated blog. The site is called DOVDOX and the associated blog is DOVDOCS. The name comes from the fact that Alan, who has a doctorate, is married to Dr. Laura Dove, who is an M.D. Alan is a science journalist and Laura is a psychiatrist.

Alan writes, "I recently started a new Web site. The associated blog focuses - if that's the right term - on science and technology topics that are just slightly off the beaten track. There's no political commentary, just short entries with links to my own and other people's longer articles, and other than the general category of "science and technology," I make no guarantees about its future direction. Feel free to add comments to the postings, or link to comments on your own blogs."

"The site is http://dovdox.com and the RSS feed for the blog is http://dovdox.com/twiki/tiki-blogs_rss.php - just paste that into your favorite RSS reader, and you'll get the flavor of the thing from the first few posts. If you don't know what a blog or RSS is, you can find an explanation on the main site."

You can also launch the blog directly from a menu on the left side of Alan's main site.

Citizen scientists who have launched their own web sites and want to share the news with fellow members of the Society for Amateur Scientists can send notice here.
