MAST in the News

George Hrabovsky, president of Madison Area Science and Technology (MAST), has informed TCS of major additions to the organization's popular web site.

Students and independent citizen scientists will find a wealth of information at the MAST site, including storm chasing photos and college-level courses in calculus, quantum mechanics, chemistry and other fields.

A welcome addition for students is Science Project Ideas, a lengthy list of science project topics. So far this is mainly a list of key words and phrases without any details about how to study or implement them. Nevertheless, as those who have advised science fair students and their teachers know so well, simple lists like these are the genesis for many science fair projects. Students will scan down such a list and suddenly be drawn like a magnet to a particular term or phrase they might not even understand.

Much more could be reported about the MAST site, but a more efficient way to learn about the site is to simply pay a visit by clicking here.

MAST is a very active chapter of the Society for Amateur Scientists. For information about beginning a local chapter of the Society for Amateur Scientists, click here.
