MathWorldTM bills itself as "the web's most extensive mathematics resource." This is no exaggeration, for a Google search on "mathworld" yields 358,000 hits. MathWorld was created by and is maintained by physicist Eric W. Weisstein, with the assistance of many contributions from mathematicians.

George E. Hrabovsky (Fig. 1), President of Madison Area Science and Technology (MAST), and a regular columnist for The Citizen Scientist, has joined the MathWorld community by contributing a tutorial entitled Affine Tensors.

George's article explains that an affine tensor "…corresponds to certain allowable linear coordinate transformations." His article explains how "…an affine tensor can be seen as a special kind of Cartesian tensor."

George is a prolific writer. His "Mathematics Corner" columns in TCS are archived here. His "Mind of a Theorist columns" in TCS are archived here. Congratulations, George, on this latest achievement.
