GLOBE and independent data

Forrest,

One question about the articles on Globe [The Citizen Scientist, 06 August 2004]. You say the Globe protocols can
be used by anyone. But will Globe accept an individual's data?

Jim Hannon

Good question, Jim. I've sent an inquiry to GLOBE about this. In the meantime, the GLOBE protocols remain ideal for use by both students and independent citizen scientists. Editor.

Shawn Carlson's Puzzle 'Toon guess

Forrest

OK, here's my guess [Puzzle 'Toon, The Citizen Scientist, 06 August 2004].

Gravity doesn't cause couples to fall in love.

Shawn

Brian Mansfield is amazing! I'll go with your guess. Just in case you're right, readers should know that no one sees the answers to Brian's puzzles until they arrive. And this solution hasn't arrived as this installment of Backscatter is prepared. Editor.
