"Would you recommend an engineering degree to your child?"

Your viewpoint is great. You are absolutely right that we have created the decline of our students in technical programs. Too bad we as a country are not doing anything about this.

Some organizations such as IEEE are heavily involved with this issue. I can only hope they find a solution.
