SAS Announces the Science for Life Partner Program

Denise Todd, Director of Fundraising Development for the Society for Amateur Scientists, is working hard to help SAS expand its reach. Here Denise explains a new program that will help with this goal.

We here at SAS understand that sometimes contributors find it hard to donate a lump sum. Donating smaller amounts on a monthly schedule makes it easier on your monthly finances. The new Science for Life Partner program allows you to make a monthly tax-deductible contribution to SAS. Each month we simply charge your credit card, or you can mail us a check or money order. You can contribute any set monthly amount that is comfortable for you. You may choose one of our pre-set levels or create your own. We have found that supporters who are part of a monthly gift program tend to be more active and up-to-date on what goes on with SAS. It's sort of a "monthly reminder" that you are not only a supporter, but also a member of SAS.

The amount you decide to contribute each month will put you into one of our member levels. For example: $25 per month would add you to our Friends Nobel Circle and you would enjoy all the benefits of that Level. Along with recognition as a Nobel Circle Level member, you will also be recognized as a Science for Life Partner. Our Science for Life Partners will be acknowledged in a special page on our website.

We do encourage a full 12-month contribution period for the Science for Life program because it allows SAS to plan for the future. At the end of the 12-month period, we will contact you about renewal. If you decide to stay in the Science for Life Partner program, just inform us via email, mail or telephone, whichever is most convenient, and we will simply renew your commitment to SAS.  If you would like to join, please email me your information at denise@sas.org, or simply sign up at our web store.
