The Citizen Scientist and its contributors

Forrest M. Mims III

The Backscatter department in this issue of The Citizen Scientist features a letter with some well-deserved praise for George E. Hrabovsky's columns about mathematics.

While I've only been onboard since December, I quickly learned that The Citizen Scientist would not exist were it not for George and the other authors who regularly contribute. Nor would The Citizen Scientist be possible without the many long hours Managing Editor Sheldon Greaves has devoted to reinventing the web site and inserting the edited articles into the final product.

Our contributors in recent months have included, in alphabetical order:

Kedar P. Badu

Shawn Carlson

Joel Clark

Ralph Coppola

Doug Criner

Paul Curtin

Bill Dembowski

John W. Dooley

James Firmiss

Roger G. Gilbertson

Sheldon Greaves

Jim Hannon

Dianna Hrabovsky

George E. Hrabovsky

Dan Lasley

Brian Mansfield

Forrest M. Mims III

Greg Randall

Carlos Eduardo Sierra C

Reginald Smith

Norm Stanley

Mark Streitman

Rocky Wenz

T. N. Whitehead

These 24 authors are among many who have made possible The Citizen Scientist. Soon they will be joined by still more new contributors whose articles are waiting to be processed. It is a treat to work with so many authors who share a common goal of communicating and practicing science.
