Science Conference - Hotel Details Hotel Information: The Society for Amateur Scientists (SAS) has reserved rooms at the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel in Pasadena, California. You will need to make reservations by calling the hotel directly. See information below: Address and contact information:

Rollaway beds are $15.00 each per night. Check in time is 3:00 pm; check out time is 12:00 pm. Guests arriving before 3:00 pm will be accommodated as rooms become available. The Bell Captain can arrange to check baggage for those arriving earlier than check-in. This rate is valid three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the event, based on availability. So, if you intend to come earlier or stay later you will still be able to get this rate again, depending upon availability. Reservations should be made as soon as possible. We have reserved only a limited number of rooms and the cut off date for reservations at the discounted rate is 6/15/2003. Reservations are to be made by calling the Hotel at 1-800-457-7940 and asking for the Reservations Department. IMPORTANT- Please make sure to request the group rate for the "Citizen Science Conference". This will ensure you are charged properly. All reservation requests must be accompanied by a first night room deposit, or be guaranteed with a major credit card. Parking: Hotel parking is $7.00 for overnight guests and for day guests. The tour is scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 2003 at 12:45 PM. We are planning to have transportation leaving from the Sheraton Hotel for those who need it. The bus will leave promptly at 12:30 pm. We need to be at JPL at 12:45 pm. Those who have their own transportation should meet us at JPL at no later than 12:45 pm.
Conference Registration: There will be an early conference registration from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Marengo Room at the Sheraton Hotel for those arriving Thursday, July 17, 2003. We will also hold an informal welcome meeting in the same room starting around 4:30 pm. Registration on Friday, July 18, 2003, will be from 7:30 am to 8:30 am on Caltech campus with the first presentation starting at 8:30 am. More details to come! |
