An Emergency Corkscrew

Recently I had occasion to open a bottle and, not having a cork extractor, very simply accomplished my purpose by using an ordinary screw eye in combination with a nail, as shown in the drawing. The use of the latter provided a better means both for turning the screw and pulling the cork out.
