Plate I was taken with an SBIG ST-7 cooled camera equipped with a CFW-8 color filter wheel. The mounted slide of
a transverse section of Elderberry was supplied in the Micr-O-Slide Plant Cell Structure collection distributed by Edmund
Scientific. A Hosfelt #25-365 Blue LED was used for illumination. The Schott OG 515 barrier filter was used to block
direct radiation from the LED and was placed in the cameraÕs light path. The RGB filter selection and camera control
were performed using the CCDSoft software package from Software Bisque. The red, green, and blue color separation
images were combined in software, as well.
