New Jersey Chapter Meeting Schedule

First I want to apologize for not sending out an email for the November meeting. It was just procrastination and not paying attention to the calendar.

The next meeting is Sat Dec 1, 2001 @ 10:30am at the library.

The rest of the present schedule is as follows:

Sun April 7, 2002 @ 1:30pm
Sun May 5, 2002 @ 1:30pm

Over the last couple of meetings we've decided try and arrange a contest. We're calling it the Speed of Light contest. The idea is to get people to use either classical experiments or ones of their own design to measure the speed of light. The one that comes closest to the expected value wins. The person or persons would have to actually bring the equipment to the event and get the measurements live. They would have to show how the device works and why. No black boxes that spit out answers. Hopefully we could have the event sometime in the middle or end of next year.
