The SAS Library Initiative

As part of our efforts to expand our ability to serve our members, SAS is starting a collection of science-related materials to be used in creating new products and materials for science enthusiasts.

The first phase of this project is to build a complete collection of Scientific American magazines going back to about 1920.

We are also interested in other science-related periodicals and publications, especially if they are older and/or out of print. If you have any old Scientific Americans gathering dust in the attic, and if they are in reasonably good condition, we would love to have you donate them to SAS. In order to avoid duplications, we will have a special page on the SAS web site showing the issues we have acquired. We will also print updates in the E-Bulletin regarding items we are still seeking.

If you have items you would like to donate, please contact Nancy or Sheldon.
